Non-stop flights between Taipei and London

Beginning March 28, 2010, China Airlines has announced that it will provide non-stop flights between Taipei and London beginning with three round-trip flights per week. In conjunction with this new route, Formosa Travel & Holidays, Australia’s No.1 Taiwan wholesaler is offering a range of Taipei stopover deals for those heading to London via Taipei.

Flights from Taipei are scheduled for Tuesday’s, Thursday’s and Sunday’s, with CI69 leaving Taipei at 935AM with a same day arrival at London Heathrow (LHR) Terminal 4 at 16:55 PM. CI70 flies non-stop leaving Heathrow at 22:05 and arrives in Taipei the following day at 17:05.

The non-stop Taipei–London flights provides the perfect connecting flight for Sydney departures, with flight’s from Sydney scheduled to arrive in Taipei on Tuesday’s and Sunday’s, with CI-56 leaving Sydney at 22:35 on Monday and Saturday, arriving the following morning in Taipei after a 8.5-hour flight. After a 5-hour wait in Taipei, you can then board the connecting 13-hour flight straight to London. China Airlines will be looking to increase the weekly flights from 3 to 5 in the near future.

The largest airliner in Taiwan said that the type of aircraft it will use to fly this route will be the spacious Airbus A340 300, which will provide 30 seats for business class passengers and 246 seats for economy class passengers.
